Fitness, Physical Preparation & Health

My photography workshops involve spending time outdoors, and some locations require hiking to reach the best photographic opportunities. Review the physical requirements below before your workshop, and contact me if you have questions about the hiking or whether a workshop is a good fit for you.

Hiking and Physical Fitness

Some workshop locations require hiking to reach the best photographic opportunities. Hikes are generally easy to moderate, but trails may be uneven, and conditions can make them more challenging.

You should be able to hike 1–4 miles round trip over moderate, uneven terrain to participate at these field locations. Check the Activity Level on your workshop’s registration page for details about the expected hiking.

If you’re unsure whether a workshop’s physical demands are a good fit for you, contact me before registering. You can also choose to sit out an individual field location. When suitable subjects are available near the parking area, you can still spend that time photographing without joining the hike.

Medical and Health Considerations

You’re responsible for assessing your ability to participate in a workshop. If a medical condition, mobility concern, or treatment requirement could affect your participation or require advance planning, please contact me before the workshop so we can discuss your needs.

Health information forms are available upon request. Please share only the information needed to help me plan for your participation.
