2021 Photography Workshops and 2020 Online Classes Open for Registration

I usually have my workshops for the next year released by May, but for the obvious reasons that didn’t happen. Instead, they are now available for registration.

For those that just want the links, here they are:

Some of the 2021 photo workshops are already full or nearly full. If you want to get on one, then registering sooner is better than later.

I’m going to admit that making decisions for my 2021 schedule was difficult. I had 2021 planned out in 2019, but then 2020 put an end to all those plans that I had. With travel being risky due to the pandemic and the stay-at-home order keeping me home, I ended up not revisiting or visiting locations I was planning on running workshops in. Then I had to cancel some workshops due to the pandemic, so I offered some of them in 2021.

It took me awhile to come up with the new 2021 plan and plan on how to address COVID-19 during my workshops. I’m still waiting on one hotel in Door County to return my calls before opening that workshop. If you want on the Door County workshop, let me know and I’ll put your name down. After I finalize the hotel, I’ll open it for registration.

Anyway, this all set my original 2021 plans back until at least 2023. Not to mention that I had planned on riding my bicycle across the country for my birthday in 2021. That plan has been scrapped — I hope not forever.

For 2021, I decided to keep my workshops closer to home. Death Valley is the only workshop that I plan on traveling a long distance for in 2021. It was scheduled and filled before the stay-at-home orders. The rest of the workshops are in the Midwest. I have to admit after traveling for over 100 days each year for the last half-dozen years, it feels pretty good to spend time with my family. I love the travel for photography and I love teaching workshops at amazing locations and I also love being at home. It’s a trade off.

I hope to see you on a photo workshop soon.
