Final Payments for 2026 Photography Workshops

Thank you for joining one of my 2026 photo workshops! This page is where you can pay the final balance for your chosen workshop. All final payments for 2026 open on January 1, 2026 (except the Winter Workshop, which opens in Fall 2025). Please review the due dates below before submitting your payment.

How to Pay Your Final Balance

  1. Find your workshop in the table below.
  2. Click the Pay Final Balance link for your workshop. It will open a secure TicketTailor payment portal.
  3. Complete your payment before the due date.
  4. You’ll receive a confirmation email after payment is processed. The email comes from TicketTailor. If you didn’t receive it, check your spam.

  • Focus on stars, the Milky Way, or moonlit landscapes depending on conditions

Permits & Partnerships

Workshops on the Superior National Forest operate under a Special Use Permit from the U.S. Forest Service, Gunflint Ranger District.

Bryan Hansel Photography is an authorized permittee of the National Park Service and operates under a Commercial Use Authorization from the National Park Service.

Lake Superior was explosive yesterday.

Last weekend, I was teaching a winter workshop on Lake Superior. For the night photography session, we went to The Tombolo to watch the moon rise. The composition of the night was this one. One of my students was on the shot just as the moon rose and after she was done, I took a shot at the picture. Usually at night, I'd shoot this at f/2.8 or wider, but with the extra light from the moon I was able to shoot at f/11. I focused like I do for landscape shots instead of at infinity like I do for nightscape shots to get great depth of field through the image. This was one of my best nights of night photography in months.
