We’ll photograph at Artist’s Point, the Grand Marais lighthouse, Cascade River State Park, or another location that captures your family’s North Shore story. I recommend locations based on the time of day and lighting conditions.

What counts as one session for extended families?
One session includes photos of the entire group, grandparents with their children, and grandparents with grandchildren. Additional groupings (like individual family units) require separate sessions.
Can I get prints?
Yes! Order standard prints, canvas, metal prints, and keepsakes directly from your online gallery. I work with a professional lab I’ve trusted for over a decade.
What about retouching?
Your session includes basic adjustments (exposure, contrast, color correction). Additional retouching is available for an extra fee – contact me for pricing on head swaps, brace removal, sunburn fixes, or other Photoshop work.
How long is a typical session?
Most sessions last 45–60 minutes. Extended family sessions with multiple booking fees may take longer.
When will I receive my photos?
Edited images are typically delivered within 3-4 weeks via your online gallery.
What should we wear?
Wear comfortable, coordinated clothing in muted tones. Simple patterns are fine, but avoid bright colors, large logos, or too much white. Layers and textured fabrics photograph well, and choose shoes that work for outdoor terrain.
Can we reschedule if the weather is bad?
I encourage clients to embrace natural light and changing weather—cloudy skies, soft rain, or snow can create unique and beautiful photos! Sessions are only rescheduled for extreme weather that would make shooting unsafe. Let’s talk about this if you have concerns.
Do you photograph pets?
Absolutely! Pets are welcome. Just let me know so we can plan accordingly.
Can you photograph multiple locations?
Yes, but sessions with multiple locations may require extra time or fees.
Where do you travel for sessions?
I serve Grand Marais, Lutsen, Tofte, and all of Cook County, Minnesota. A $100 travel fee applies for locations more than 15 miles from Grand Marais.
