I’m pleased to announce that my Northern Landscape Calendar 2021 is out. As in previous years, my Minnesota Calendar for 2021 features images from northern Minnesota and Lake Superior.
2021 Calendar Image Descriptions
The images take you from Lake Superior to the inner reaches of Cook County and the Arrowhead. Along Lake Superior, the images range from Cascade River State Park to the Grand Marais harbor. It wouldn’t be complete without a sunrise image from Artist’s Point. We switch over to night near Hovland and a thunderstorm and lightning over Grand Marais.
For inland locations, we find ourselves at on overlook in February. Then as the weather warms, a red Northstar canoe hits my favorite lake near Grand Marais. There’s a summer sunset from Oberg Mountain. An unreal sunrise over a tiny little lake.
As the colors start to change, we journey to the Temperance River and a remote inland lake to see the fall color. We end the calendar under the December night skies on a picture perfect and snow-covered Boreal forest.
U.S. holidays and a few others that I personally celebrate are included. I’ve also included new and full moon dates and all the dates for the significant meteor showers.
My Thoughts on this Northern Landscape 2021 Calendar
I wasn’t sure if this calendar would happen this year with the pandemic, and that would have made the loses that I’ve suffered this year even worse. The company I have make these wasn’t making calendars earlier this year, but that changed this week. Lulu is the same company that has made my calendars for years now. I love the quality, and because they handle the printing, the shipping and the customer service, it frees me up to go make more images to show you (plus I’m not really good at shipping and organizing orders).
This calendar is a big way that you can support me this year. Every sales helps. Plus, they make great holiday gifts! My wife and I originally did this so we could have calendars to give to our family. Then somehow they caught on. Thank you for that!

We purchased 3 of your calendars. We love your photos but wish you included the description/location of where the picture for each month was taken. Thank you!
Unfortunately, Lulu didn’t offer that option this year. They have in years past, and I’ve had it on every previous calendar. But this year Lulu redid everything and removed that option. Hopefully, they will bring it back for next year.
