This morning, I went to the causeway between Fort Myers and Sanibel Island to shoot the sunrise. I’ve a big foreground shooter and am always challenged to find good foregrounds on sandy beaches. Luckily, I found this interesting remains of a tree to put in the foreground.
I shot this as you see here and then did a long exposure using a 10-stop ND filter. The ND filter blurred the water and allowed the clouds in the sky to go streaky, but this shot without the ND grad works better for me. I like the texture in the water on this shot.
