The Wedding in the blizzard

The Wedding in the blizzard

On December 1st, Kari Watcher and Peirre Khalil marriage got off to a stormy start. They where scheduled to marry at Lutsen Resort, but the first blizzard of the year blew in an hour before the scheduled start time. Instead of moving to the warm protected inside of the resort, they decided to still perform the marriage outside. All 85 attendees stood outside during the ceremony that lasted well over a half hour. The wind, sustained at 15 knots and gusting to 25, was blowing snow sideways, but it did little to wipe smiles off their faces. It’ll be one wedding the attendees will never forget, and it was the talk of the town on Saturday. “The Wedding in the Blizzard.”

The bride’s aunt’s write up.
