Morning light glows in a snowy pine forest, George Washington Pines, on the Gunflint Trail. Minnesota. It was a cold morning when I got this photo. Just after sunrise the temp read -4°F and we had just gotten 6 inches of fresh powder, so I made my way to George Washington Pines and wandered around the pines in knee deep snow. The side lighting on the trees felt so warm in the cold air and the snow-covered fir among the tall pines stood out. The perfect picture for the season.
