Last night, the International Space Station was set to make an appearance in Minnesota’s night sky. The flyover lined up directly with Junco. Those astronauts on the space station are the contemporary version of explorers who push the edge of human knowledge and skill and adventure — just as the canoe helped explorers push into the unknown in the past. Just last week, the space station received and then inflated a new experimental inflatable living quarters to test. It might help exploration as human beings push out into the other planets.
