090923-40: A fall color pano taken with a Lensbaby Composer with a plastic optic and f/2.8. Handheld two images changing the sweet spot from left to right between images and making sure a bush in the center was in focus each time. Stitched using Autopano Pro, which as always makes a perfect stitch.

]]> I’m still in Norway and probably having a great time. This is an automated post just to give you something new to look at until I get back with my G9 Norway pictures. This is a pano of the Grand Marais harbor shot with a handheld Canon G9 and created with Hugins. I took six shots with good overlap holding the camera as steady as possible. It looks great at full size with loads of detail.

Below is a thumbnail, but you can see a slightly larger size version by clicking on the thumbnail below. I hope you enjoy and I’ll see you when I get back from Norway.

]]> Planet Style Pano of the BWCA

Every year at about this time, the ice on Lake Superior moves in, and I start to think, “Wouldn’t it be cool to paddle among the ice.” I load the kayak on the car and go paddling. This year, an exception to that rule, is making me want to go canoe camping. The watery planet of the BWCA seems so far away now. So, here is a 2:1 panoramic picture turned into a polar panoramic projection. The second photo is the original image, a stitch of 8 different images. Have you seen my BWCA VR Tour?
