Class Announcement: Achieve Your Vision: Processing Photos in the Digital Darkroom
Achieve Your Vision: Processing Photos in the Digital Darkroom
November 15, 2014, 9am – 4pm
Location:Founders Hall at the Grand Marais Art Colony
The process of making a digital photograph starts at visualization, continues through the craft of taking the picture, and then journeys into the digital darkroom. In the digital darkroom, just like the chemical darkroom, photographers will fine tune their image, recognize the image’s flow, and work to emphasize that flow using Adobe Lightroom. Students will learn about the cataloging and organizational side of Lightroom as well as the processing module.
Bring a laptop with a copy of Lightroom installed. Adobe offers a free 30-day trial and a $10/month subscription.
To register, call the Grand Marais Art Colony at 218-387-2737.
If you’re a photographer, you really owe it to yourself and your work to learn Lightroom. It’s a powerful tool that’s just as important in creating digital photographs as your camera. And learning it will help you get the most out of your photographs.
