Lensbaby February Day Three: Fall River

090203-22 Fall River sunset on Lake Superior

D200, Lensbaby Composer, Glass Optic, Creative Aperture (because that’s what I had in). The Fall River on the north shore of Lake Superior is just outside of Grand Marais. It’s never a very big river, but it’s a nice destination, because there is a 20 foot waterfall there and a nice beach to land a kayak on. It was a pretty sunset tonight.

This is nice, the selective focus works well to draw attention to the river outlet. I’ve never spent any time on the fall river and now I’m curious. I’ve been enjoying the series thus far, and think the images have been quite successful. Keep it up!

Thanks, Joel. Using a Lensbaby for winter landscape has been a challenge. They seem to work better with lots of color around. This challenge of mine is going to be harder than I thought.
